SKAN LOADS VELVET REVOLVER
UK rental company and L'Acoustics V-DOSC partner, Skan PA Hire, recently supplied reinforcement for the American rock outfit Velvet Revolver's UK dates at Glasgow Academy and the Manchester and Hammersmith Apollos.
The band's line-up features three former members of Guns N' Roses - guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum. Velvet Revolver carried their own control system and worked closely with Skan's Certified V-DOSC Engineer Ant Carr and system technician Peter Whitelaw to install the sound systems.
Thirty dV-DOSC and six ARCS loudspeakers were supplied, with subwoofers in the form of 12 SB218s and eight dV-SUBs. Results were extremely pleasing all round with FOH engineer Hootsie and Production Manager Tom Mayhue looking to use Skan's services in the future.
