SCRIMSHAW LIGHTS THE PROPHETS
The Lostprophets UK tour of arenas and larger theatres was one of the top draws of late 2004, with all shows being sold out.
LD Mark Scrimshaw designed a rig consisting of a 40ft back A-type truss with six High End Studio Colors, six Martin MAC 500s and two ACL bars, plus the band's backdrop. At mid stage there were large Diamond truss pods with truss toners, two ACLs, two MAC 500s, two Studio Colors, a 4-lite Molephay and eight lengths of PixelLines on each.
In the centre of each pod, Scrimshaw placed three Martin Atomic strobes fitted together with a colour changer on each. The floor rig consisted of two sections of pre-rig on cubes, each with two six-lamp bars of No.5s and a 4-lite Molephay on each for cross wash.
To the rear of the stage he used two 12ft and two 10ft S-type towers, each with a Studio Color on top, a PixelLine, 4-lite Molephay and Atomic strobe, and a MAC 500 at the base.
A single par was used to uplight the singer through a perspex 4ft riser in between the drums and keys, with another Molephay lighting the backdrop. Downstage of the riser were four additional Molephays and four Studio Colors. The entire rig was controlled via a Whole Hog II plus wing.
