The party was held in a 72m x 22m ground supported structure, which was then divided into three rooms. The entire structure was covered in a waterproof skin and each of the three themed rooms was decorated. Lighting for the event was supplied by Impact through Martin Hong Kong with lighting design by Steve Nield of Lighting & Visual Production Design of Kuala Lumpur.

Effects from Martin MAC 550 profile spots, MAC 2000 Profiles and Wash luminaires were incorporated with control from a Martin Maxxyz with Wing. Lighting Designer Steve Nield commented on his use of the lighting console, "This was the first time I have used a Maxxyz on a show and I was more than impressed at the capabilities of the desk. After only a day's training with Steve Rawlins (Martin Singapore), I arrived in Shanghai a few days earlier to have the desk set up in my hotel room so that I could upload my Martin ShowDesigner (MSD) model and get to work on some programming. This was a great opportunity to learn more of the desks functions, and with the aid of the manual and a couple of calls to Steve I was soon programming at a respectable speed.

"Having programmed many different types of desks over the years I have always felt that most manufacturers produce desks with unique features and if you could take each of those features and combine them in one console you would have the ideal desk. With the Maxxyz I found that everything I needed was there and easily accessible in a remarkably few number of keystrokes. Using the Maxxyz was an enjoyable experience that I can recommend to other designers/programmers and I look forward to having it on my next show."
