Pioneer take BEDA award for DVJ-X1

Pioneer, the Pro DJ manufacturer, received a coveted BEDA (the Bar Entertainment and Dance Association) Award at their annual awards ceremony held in Birmingham, England in September. Pioneer took the award for 'Product of the Year' for their innovative DVJ-X1 - a revolutionary piece of kit which combines Pioneer's CD Jog Dial technology with the flexibility and capacity of DVD. Crucially, DVJs will also be able to use the DVJ-X1 to manipulate DVD visuals in exactly the same way as they would music. So real-time digital video scratches, loops and instant cues are all possible, while the video and audio streams always stay in perfect sync, even when they're being reversed and pitched.
The BEDA judging panel commented that the DVJ-X1is: "An innovative and exciting piece of equipment that has the potential to make a significant impact on club cultureÉ"
