RCF UK has announced details of its UK distribution network for Commercial Audio and Installed Sound products. The UK regional distributors have been strategically appointed with reference to individual market penetration and geographical positioning, plus the ability to provide strong support.
In order to reflect more on its North American sales activities, A.C. Lighting (Canada) Ltd has changed its name to A.C. Lighting Inc. John Evans, Vice President of Sales at A.C. Lighting Inc. commented: "We decided to change the name to reflect the increasing share of our business conducted in the US, driven in part by our appointment as the exclusive North American distributor for the Jands range of professional lighting equipment." ARX Systems has appointed Robert Yeo as its new Singapore based regional sales director. ARX MD Colin Park comments: "Over the years ARX has developed a major presence in the South East Asian pro audio community as a product solution provider, and with Robert joining the ARX team, this can only be enhanced further. Robert's brief is to develop new partners and markets amongst the installers, contractors, production companies and broadcasters in Singapore, Malaysia and the surrounding region for our new and existing product ranges." DPA Microphones has announced the appointment of Linfair Engineering & Trading as its sole distributor for Taiwan. The DPA line of products will be represented by Linfair's sales manager Daniel Tsai, who says: "We are delighted to be representing DPA Microphones, and growing the brand in the Taiwanese market. We feel that the superior quality of the microphones sits well with our range of products and look forward to establishing DPA as the microphone of choice in Taiwan." Bogen Communications Inc, parent company of Apogee Sound International, has appointed Barry Ray Luz Western regional sales manager for Apogee, Bogen, and NEAR product lines. Midas and Klark Teknik have appointed D and D, based in Tel Aviv as the exclusive distributor for Midas and KT products throughout Israel. D and D's Danny Ariel comments: "Midas and Klark Teknik are world-famous brands, and I am looking forward to representing them in my territory." Pro audio distributor Autograph Sales has expanded its team with the appointment of Louis Van Niekerk in a technical support and logistics role. Other personnel changes include the promotion of Susie Alterman to sales coordinator, after two years working with the company in a support role. dB Technologies has appointed Sajeev Nair as director of sales for the Asian region. "I am excited at being given the opportunity to be working with the team at dB Technologies. Since dB products are relatively new in the Asian market at the moment," said Sajeev. dB's Hans Radda added: "The dB brand is now established a major force in Europe and America and we are now ready to expand into the Asian Pacific market." Ernesto Armas has joined PR Lighting as Sales Manager for the Americas, covering the entire continent from Canada to Cape Horn. PR Lighting Vice President Paul Dodd said: "We are very pleased to welcome Ernie to the PR team, and are confident that he will help greatly in our sales and service to our many customers in the Americas." A consortium led by Stephen Hall has completed the buyout of specialist audio production company, RG Jones, from owner Robin Jones. Hall said: "It is an exciting time for the company, and now that it is ours we can put into action all the plans we have been working on over the last couple of years." Joining him on the new board are co-directors John Carroll and Andrew Williamson. Global Design Solutions (GDS) has been launched by Matt Lloyd and Richard Cuthbert, (previously of Stage Electrics). The company boasts many strings to its bow in both technical and commercial arenas, not least the development of new global products specifically related to the technical entertainment presentation industries. Alongside product development, the main direction of GDS will be design engineering and business development consultancy as these are the specialist fields from which both Directors hail. Rane and Serato Audio Research have launched the Official Scratch LIVE DJ Forum, where DJs can download the new Scratch LIVE software version 1.1. Serato is hosting the Forum since most topics involve the software's current and future features. The new Scratch LIVE software version 1.1 offers over 50 new features and fixes and can be downloaded from the Official Forum. Milos UK has announced that its QuickTruss Design & Distribution Centre is moving to larger facilities. The new site offers much larger warehouse space and administration facilities to improve our service and distribution to all our customers. Phil Mercer has joined XL Video's project management team - concentrating on the application of video in live music and theatre, and on the rapidly continuing creative fusion of lighting and video media and technologies. Having spent the previous four years working for High End Systems UK, Mercer first became involved in video via their award winning Catalyst product. Crown International has announced that Brian Divine has been appointed to the position of Director of Marketing for the Portable PA, Recording and Broadcast markets, expanding to three the number of Marketing Directors on staff, and bringing new focus to the primary market segments Crown serves. The appointment was announced by Mark Graham, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for Crown. Meanwhile Crown have also announced personnel changes within the Sales department. Sue Livings has been promoted to the newly created position of Director of Customer Service, whilst Amanda Divine has been promoted to the position of Manager of Sales Administration. As of September 1st Giovanni Fucili is the new International Sales Manager of Powersoft. Carlo Lastrucci and Luciano Ciappi, respectively President and Commercial Director of Powersoft say that they are: "proud to make this announcement because Giovanni has achieved a remarkable reputation of expertise and seriousness in Pro Audio working successfully for FBT Group in the main international markets." Dimes & Sillitoe, the Surrey based PR Management Company has welcomed three new accounts to its growing stable of clients. As from July 2004, the PR team will be working closely with Merging Technologies, Total Audio Solutions and Hebden Sound. Stardraw.com have announced the appointment of Austrian pro audio sales, distribution and systems specialists, Audiosales Vertriebs GmbH, as resellers throughout Austria for the entire range of Stardraw's design and documentation software packages. Located just 15km south of Vienna, AudioSales specialises in four areas of business: recording and post-production; fixed installations; broadcast; and professional live sound. In what has been a busy period for Stardraw, the company have expanded their reseller network in North America with the appointment of Massachusetts-based Simply Reliable Software. The news follows the announcement in May of Dove Net Technologies becoming Stardraw.com's first US national reseller Symetrix, designers of the SymNet Audio Matrix line of audio processors, has introduced SymNet Express. Allen & Heath has launched a new dedicated website for its award winning range of Xone DJ mixers.
