      • Long-serving EVI Audio general manager Hans-Peter Richter has announced his retirement and has been succeeded by Detlev L. Heiringhoff. Richter joined the company back in 1973, as general manager of the TV-equipment dispatch department. Two years later, he was appointed deputy general manager of Dynacord and Echolette. From 1981 onwards, he occupied the post of general manager of finance, materials administration and production, the post which Heiringhoff now fills. 49 year old Heiringhoff graduated in business administration from the University of Dortmund and has worked in logistics and finance. From 1994 to 1996, Heiringhoff served as administrative director of Peek & Cloppenburg KG of DŸsseldorf, later taking management positions at Telecom AG in Frankfurt and Suzuki International Europe in Munich. Since the beginning of this year, Heiringhoff has also been General Manager of Finance with EVI Audio in Straubing, the post in which he succeeds Hans-Peter Richter

      • RCF UK has announced details of its UK distribution network for Commercial Audio and Installed Sound products. The UK regional distributors have been strategically appointed with reference to individual market penetration and geographical positioning, plus the ability to provide strong support.
      "With RCF's new European centralised warehousing facility it is important to work with the long-established UK PA distributor channels in order to provide more immediate inventory support for installation contractors," explained RCF UK's Phil Price. "All the companies involved are able to provide excellent pre and after sales support including System Design Quotations."

      • In order to reflect more on its North American sales activities, A.C. Lighting (Canada) Ltd has changed its name to A.C. Lighting Inc. John Evans, Vice President of Sales at A.C. Lighting Inc. commented: "We decided to change the name to reflect the increasing share of our business conducted in the US, driven in part by our appointment as the exclusive North American distributor for the Jands range of professional lighting equipment."
      A.C.
