Moving downstairs into the heart of Cocoon, a mixture of lighting effects have been used to create a constantly changing range of moods. The low ceiling height of this underground area meant that the use of moving head luminaires was severely restricted. That said, room has been found for a collection of Clay Paky, MundoColor and Robe lighting fixtures as well as numerous par cans, which have been installed to great effect. Certainly the owners are particularly pleased with the colour changing effects: "The lighting of the walls with their changing lights are something not often seen (yet!) in The Netherlands," notes Jeroen, the club's spokesman. It is not just the lighting which has given the team cause to smile. The subject of the new audio install (carried out, like the lighting, by Wytec) also elicits an enthusiastic response: "The sound system is absolutely awesome! We've experienced various sound systems in our venues and the one in Cocoon is by far the best."
