Local Kunsthaus director, Matthias Haldemann, commissioned Turrell for a lighting installation at Zug Railway Station in Switzerland. In the evening, the five-storey interior is bathed in radiant colours created by separately controlled fluorescent tubes from Zumtobel Staff with red, green and blue filters. Colours are projected by reflectors onto curtained surfaces fixed in front of the facades and onto the parapets of the upper floors of the concourse.
