OptiLED HIVE Modular Optical Array S-1

The High Intensity Vorticular Enclosure (HIVE) modular system is the latest product from OptiLED to further push the boundaries of LEDs and LED technology. It offers a range of flexibility and colour-changing capabilities previously thought impossible. Consisting of three high-powered LEDs, the module is suitable for large lighting projects such as flood lighting entire buildings and large architectural features through to grand theatrical productions or even underwater applications. The first product to feature the HIVE module is the Modular Optical Array S-1, an IP68 rated unit, with a simple slot-in design allowing modules to be connected together to virtually any size or shape.
As with all the OptiLED range, the HIVE S-1 is incredibly energy efficient with voltage consumption of just 5 watts per module. The module contains high brightness LEDs and is simple to install and sustain, offering a low maintenance solution for hard to reach applications such as water features or inaccessible buildings.
The unit is capable of producing 16.7 million colours under DMX control and comes standard with a 16 degree diffuser, with factory fitted options of 25 degree, 50 degree or 80 degree spherical diffusers, a 2x70 degree line or 10x60 degree elliptical diffusers.
