The Escapaid 1TM LED Emergency Lighting System represents true innovation in emergency lighting technology and with advances in white LED technology, LEDs can now be used in many traditional emergency lighting applications.
Based around high efficiency switch-mode power electronics, the Escapaid 1TM LED driver module is extremely compact, yet is designed to deliver optimum performance to Luxeon LEDs. It has a unique battery boost circuit which gives a constant light output independent of battery voltage for a period of 3 hours from mains failure. The Escapaid 1TM allows product designers to create unique emergency lighting products and can offer end users the possibility of maintenance free emergency lighting. The unit is housed in a mouse style case with full terminal covers and cord grips for direct use in ceiling spaces. The Ni-Cad battery used in the complete system is a 2.4V sub-C pack with a capacity of 2500mAh. The LED module provided with the system is a Luxeon 1W white emitter, in a 28.0mm diameter aluminium housing with connector at the rear.Compliant with Luxeon Power LEDs, having fully isolated low voltage output and switched maintained operation, the Escapaid system provides constant light output and cool running, together with long life expectancy (> 50,000 hours). The system also meets CE lighting approbation requirements.
