The Slotlight luminaire from Zumtobel Staff Lighting provides a continuous ribbon of light from a luminaire designed to be inconspicuous to the point of invisibility. Slotlight is most effective when recessed into ceilings or walls, and both the width and height of the housing are reduced to maximize the possibilities for this type of installation. A combination of Zumtobel Staff's Tetris lamp mounting and the pearl diffuser optic means that there are no dark spots even where individual lamps meet, so the effect is of a continuous row of light completely integrated into the architecture.
Where a more overt statement is required, Slotlight can be suspended or surface mounted, at which point the minimalist aesthetic of the ultra slim and completely plain aluminium housing makes a positive, if discrete, contribution to the contemporary commercial interior.
The Slotlight luminaires incorporate DALI technology, allowing each fitting to be controlled individually by a centralised system such as Zumtobel Staff's Emotion or Luxmate and emergency lighting capability can also be integrated into the design.
