PLM Fibre Optics

Fibre Optic light sources are available in Metal Halide and Quartz Halogen, varying from 50 watts to 150 watts in power consumption. Fibre Optic harnesses are available in both side and end emitting forms in plastic or glass materials. The more commonly used material is glass, in its end emitting form. Glass Fibre Optic harnesses are usually sheathed in Megolon, and terminated with brass ferrules or crimps. Harnesses are cut and assembled to order to meet specific project requirements. Active diameters start at around 1mm for decorative effects and back illumination, and go up to 6 or 8mm for task lighting applications where low voltage lighting emulation is required. Light sources can be fitted with colour wheels, effect wheels, electronic synchronisation and remote control, as well as DMX interfaces. A wide range of end of fibre lenses and acessories is available to cover applications such as task lighting and wall washing.
