The lighting of the City Chambers was designed to enhance the city landmark at night, being sympathetic to the architectural character of the building and giving particular emphasis to the front and side elevations of the tower. The scheme was designed for easy maintenance and to conceal the luminaires which consisted of over 300 iGuzzini Linealuce fluorescents, 168 iGuzzini Radius 70W CDM-T fittings and 24 iGuzzini Platea 150W CDM-T fittings. Meyer Superlight 150W CDM-T and Thorn Contrast projectors were also used
