Wagamama restaurant, basement of Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge

The client was looking for a low cost and elegant lighting solution. VBK Lighting Consultants, in cooperation with the designer David Bentheim, developed a simple lighting system. Linear platforms suspended from the ceiling hide dimmable fluorescent lamps for indirect light. When darkness falls, the light intensity decreases until only the downlights located in the middle of the platform light up the tables. The light reflected from this wood illuminates the remaining spaces. The result is a warmer, more welcoming illumination, appropriate for the evening hours.
